AT HOME ART DATE | watch review sketch + build
There are 360 degrees, so why stick to one? -- Zaha Hadid
Dame Zaha Hadid was a British Iraqi architect, artist, and designer who was regarded as a significant presence in late-twentieth-century and early-twentieth-century architecture. Hadid, who was born in Baghdad, Iraq, studied mathematics as an undergraduate before enrolling in the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1972. In pursuit of an alternative approach to conventional architectural drawing, Hadid turned to painting as a design tool and abstraction as an investigative principle, inspired by Suprematism and the Russian avant-garde. She said she wanted to "reinvestigate the aborted and untested experiments of Modernism. To reveal new fields of building."
