Laurie Anderson is a musician and avant-garde artist from the United States. In 1981, her track "O Superman" peaked at number two on the UK singles chart. She also appeared in and directed the concert film Home of the Brave, which was released in 1986. Anderson is an electronic music pioneer who created various gadgets that she has utilized in her recordings and performance art presentations. From April 2008 until his death in 2013, she was married to singer-songwriter Lou Reed. The couple had two kids.
